How was everyone’s Thanksgiving (if you live in the US that is)? Stuff yourselves with tons of turkey and all of them lovely fixings? Get your ChristmaChanuKwanzaaInsertAdditionalHolidayHere shopping done for the year? Were any of you wacky enough to wake up at ungodly hours to get your shopping on?
Well, Turkey Day was pretty good for me. Went up to the ‘rents place and helped Mom out along with my brother in creating the feast for the evening. Our culinary fare this year consisted of turkey, some delish home-made stuffing, sweet potato casserole, Spanish rice and beans (specifically “Arroz con Gandules”), ham, steamed veggies, fried plantains, black bean soup, other soups, flans, differing pies, brownies, cakes… Enough to feed King Henry VIII for weeks on end, heh.
After that, I came back home and cleaned up a bunch since I had my place all to myself. Did a little grocery shopping and got called into work for the better part of the day. Didn’t really do much for the rest of the weekend other than work, hang out with a few friends and work on setting up a new server in our place for our growing list of DVDs, mp3s and videos. Did some on-line shopping too and managed to nix off half of my Christmas list so that’s always a good plus. 🙂
Unfortunately, not much else to share with you fine kitties… So is life, but then again I like it when life quiets down like this. Helps to clear out your mind and prepare yourself for any major things that usually falls in your lap.
Oh yeah, and I’d like to say “Hi” to the new folks I added over the past few days.
Oh yeah and can you freaggin’ believe that my wallet still smells like old lady perfume?!?! Yes, from way back then! I’m going to have to get a new damn wallet now. Grrrr.
