I just heard a phrase on TV that brought back a really interesting memory.
Many moons ago while on one of my drunken late night diner invasions with my friends, we were having an interesting and thought provoking discussion about how everyone as a group viewed you in terms of “relationship material.” We each took a turn getting rated and picked apart by three other people with regards to how we are perceived by them. It was actually pretty enlightening up until it all turned on me. They all pretty much said that I was a total player which I didn’t really agree with, but I could understand why they had stated that. I’m naturally very friendly and open with others and a lot of times, it gets mistaken for flirtation. To be honest with you, I can’t really say that I know how to flirt, but I have absolutely no problems in acting friendly towards people. I guess that’s what being a flirt is all about.
Anyway, the last girl to rate me (who I hooked up with shortly thereafter) only said one thing and to this day I can hear it like it was just told to my face. She said, “you have a very devil may care attitude about things and it’s a turn-on for a lot of us.”
WTF??? What does that mean?!?! To this day I don’t get it. I’ve always thought it meant evil. You mean this is what gets your rocks off ladies?
If someone could shed some light on this, it would be much appreciated since I’m going to freaggin’ obsess over this for a few more days. Gah!
