She told me to come, but I was already there

For those of you who listened to Stern this morning, he treated us to having none other than the legendary AC/DC in the studio today, which made my two and a half hour commute worth it.

First, AC/DC played a special “Howard” version of The Jack which was pretty cool to hear and it had me laughing in a couple of spots. Next, you got to hear a total train wreck when Stern and the gang tried to play their rendition of Dirty Deeds. It was pretty embarrassing and awful to hear but then again, I’d be nervous as shit if I had to play in front of AC/DC as well.

At the end of the interview however, they played a totally kick ass acoustic version of You Shook Me with some of the singing done by Artie Lange when Brian Johnson forgot the words to the second verse. Needless to say, I was pretty impressed at Artie’s chops when he took the microphone that time… I’ll even say it was just as good as Jim Breuer’s Brian Johnson impression. Either way, I had the biggest smile on my way to work this morning after listening to that… Man, how cool could that be to actually sing with AC/DC?!?!

Come on all… Sing along, I’ll be playing the guitar. 😉

She was a fast machine
She kept her motor clean
She was the best damn woman I had ever seen
She had the sightless eyes
Telling me no lies
Knockin’ me out with those American thighs
Taking more than her share
Had me fighting for air
She told me to come but I was already there

‘Cause the walls start shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it and you –

Shook me all night long

Working double time
On the seduction line
She was one of a kind, she’s just mine all mine
She wanted no applause
Just another course
Made a meal out of me and came back for more
Had to cool me down
To take another round
Now I’m back in the ring to take another swing

‘Cause the walls were shaking
The earth was quaking
My mind was aching
And we were making it and you –

Shook me all night long

Hehe… 🙂

I’m so glad they’re finally getting indeucted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame… Though from the sounds of it, they didn’t care one bit. True rockers… 🙂
