Always blame the french…

hmmmm…

ok, so I got a new phone yesterday via eBay and I love it. got it hooked up, charged, transferred my numbers (and e-mail addresses) over and it works like a charm. however the wireless internet part of it doesn’t seem to be working, so after a quick call to cingular, it turns out that because I live too far north now I am not using their cell phone towers. see, cingular pretty much runs the show in central and south jersey along with areas like philly. up where I live it’s almost all AT and T (booo! hiss! hiss!) so I use their lines when I make my calls and such. I don’t get charged for it naturally, but the wireless part will not work because AT and T won’t let the signal go through (testicle-less sons of motherless goats). ho hum… I suppose it’s for the best because knowing me, I will have like two to three hundred dollar cell phone bills just for using the instant messengers… 😆 the really odd part is that I can receive cellular e-mails (remove the star in the e-mail address before ya hit send if you decide on sending me some love) and text messages but I just can’t use the net… weeeeeeeeeerd. the good part is that cingular will have a few towers installed in the city by this summer so when I move back down to central jersey, north jersey will get reception. my perfect luck eh?? :sigh:

so ada finally let me know what the soap operas were, but I still haven’t heard of them. I actually used to watch the days of our lives when I was much younger or the novela of the month that my mom was watching. I miss those shows… they run like three weeks and the drama in those shows make the english soaps look like old health movies you watched back in grammar school (*zzzzzz*). lately my mom is watching this brazilian novela that is dubbed in spanish and holy shit! I saw an episode once that had this guy dressed up in a dominatrix suit spanking some girl on a beach (all done behind her hubby’s back too who was also cheating on her with some barfly). my sis, aunt and mom are all there memorized and I look up because I hear some moaning and stuff and I’m like “jeez!” then they get upset at me for letting my little bro watch a tittie flick… :lmao:

she was also telling me about the situation that went down yesterday in the skating part of the olympics. apparently canada did like super well and should have taken the gold and the us placed fifth but should have placed fourth. who’s fault was this?? them damn ruskies or, depending on how you look at it, the frenchies… 😉 from what I gathered, the russians messed up pretty bad, yet got sweet points for “artistic merit”. the canadians completely overwhelmed the russians, yet finished behind them drawing a hell of alot of boos from the crowd. even people in the competition were calling it an “embarrassment for the sport.” wow! from reading this article, the eastern side of the world voted for the ruskies and the western side of the world (and most of the audience) voted for the canadians to take home the gold and the french (huh?? french?? WTF??) assured the russians’ gold medal. ain’t that a bitch… eh well, I hate watching skating competitions anyway and this just solidified it for me. if I wanted poor judging and favoritism like this, i’d watch boxing matches or even worse notre dame football games.

i’ve been reading both jill’s and jess’s blogs alot more often for the past few weeks, so I have placed them up above in my dailies… jill got my little star trek reference from yesterday so she just completely rocks now… a trekkie and a member of the opposite sex, rare indeed!! 🙂 jess also started the participation positives that I post up and like me hates to wear watches because they’re annoying, we all need to band together…

ugh.. I just noticed that really cheesy pun…

:grumble:

really, I didn’t mean it.
