The art of the smooch

Did a few updates here to the grandiose blog of mine.

As you can see to the right, my Twitter status is now being displayed. If you do not know what Twitter is, it is a pretty neat little service where you can instantly update what you are doing at any time of the day via the web, your cell phone or some of the popular instant messengers around. If you happen to subscribe to the service, feel free to add me as a buddy there. I have also enabled the fantablous gravatars in the comments area. So, if you happen to use that nifty service, you will see your gravatar right next to your name anytime you leave your comment so long as you use the same email address. Speaking of which, I also enabled registrations so feel free to register there is you are so inclined.

Anyway, enough of that funky stuff.

I was browsing the intarwebs the other day and happened to come across this doozy, How to Kiss Someone Passionately. While it has to be one of the most hilarious tutorials I have seen on the net, I would have to admit that there is some really good information to be found there if you happen to know someone who is impaired in the arts of the smooch. I know if this was out back when I was fooling around with a few people in my younger years, it would have made make-out sessions a lot more pleasurable.

A beginning to an end

Wow, long time no write eh?

Unfortunately, I will not be updating this blog very many times from this point on as I’m pretty much just too busy with real life to have anything to do with this. At one point, I will eventually make this a pseudo-tech blog when I have more time to devote to a blog of some form. I figured something a little more work related, so that I can keep notes on gotchas and how-to’s on my daily grind as a network administrator in a Linux / Microsoft world. Yeah, like we need another one of those right?? 😉

Anyway, at some point in the future, I’ll eventually get back into the swing of things blog-wise but most likely not here. If you ever want to know when I’ll open up shop again, feel free to drop a comment or I’ll just add my new URL when I comment on your blogs in the future. Until fare thee well my friends.

Whoopsie

Ok, everybody do their collective “Awe” with the cute puppies on top… There, that’s much better. 🙂

The reason for the change is pretty much my own doing. See, I was running WordPress 1.3a2 on this site up until yesterday at which point I upgraded to 1.3a4 which I hoped contained the security fixes that are available in WordPress 1.2.1 (BTW, you should get 1.2.1 if you have not upgraded yet). I was also running the ever so funky and cool Kubrick theme at the same time which took very well to 1.3a2. However, much wonkiness ensued after I upgraded to the latest CVS version or WordPress. Of course, these things are to be expected when you’re playing with pre-release alpha versions of any software, so it was not a problem in the least bit for me. I know that when WP 1.3 official is released, a compatible Kubrick theme will be as well and things will be right again.

So, I reverted back to the default template and then switched to one of the many free stylesheets available at Alex King’s site. This particular theme that Helga Cleve created really caught my eye, so I grabbed it, made a few personal tweaks and voila!

Again, if anyone notices anything funky, please let me know.

WordPress 1.3

Excuse the funky appearance over the next few days. Wanted to try out the latest CVS build of WordPress (v 1.3 alpha2) on my little nook on the web.
