Rattlesnake shake

Been going through something weird the past few nights, On Tuesday I sort of went crazy eating candy at work and then had some fairly spicy Thai that night. So I go to sleep and I start feeling a little funny. Kind of like my body went into slow-motion and my arms started getting a little numb. So I started chilling on the bed figuring it was the after effects of the tasty Pad Thai I had earlier and then all of a sudden, I could start feeling my heart racing 3 billion beats a minute and my hands started shaking pretty badly. I tried to wake up the little lady, but I became too weak to even move over to shrug her awake and I could not speak. I’m freaking out big time, but I know I needed to calm myself down so I closed my eyes and started breathing really slowly despite my racing heart. Like a half a minute later, I felt things returning to normal and I managed to get up and walk around a bit. I went to the bathroom, splashed some water on my face, popped an Advil and slowly went back to sleep again though not too well.

When I got up, my arms felt fairly weak and sort of numb, but everything else seemed ok with the exception of a very weak and dull pain in what seemed like my left lung. I went to work and still had that dull pain but everything else seemed ok. I told my boss about it and he said I should call a doc to get an appointment because of what my body went through the night before. So I called, and couldn’t get an appointment until the 29th of this month… Grrreat. I take it and figure if anything I would also get my annual checkup.

Wednesday night rolls around and the same exact same thing happens. Although this time is was a little more severe and it started happening as soon as I went to sleep. Ok, so now I started freaking big time. I come in Thursday and I call up the doc again and manage to get an appointment for this afternoon. Last night I felt a little funny and still had that pain in my lung area, but no insane heart racing thing or funky shakes. I guess it’s a good thing that did not happen, but I will find out later on what the hell’s been going on.

  2. Thanks for the well wishes! Things do not seem too bad, but the doc has no clue what’s wrong… Heh. 🙂

  3. Thanks sweetie! Hopefully I’ll feel better soon, just updated with today’s diagnosis. 🙂

  4. Have you been taking any medicines in the evening, especially any cold/sinus/decongestant medications? Many decongestants can cause a racing heartbeat.

Glad to know you’ve made a doctor’s appointment. I hope everything is okay.

  5. Nup, actually the doc asked me this as well. Other than this little snafu, I’ve been as haethy as can be.

  6. I still have some catching up to do, but I don’t know if you have got any results back yet… You sound good! 🙂
